GUEST FOR TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22ND AT 7:30PM – SARAH PEREZ-STABLE WITH YOUTH CHALLENGE

image001 (1)Youth Challenge (YC) provides adapted sports and recreational opportunities to children with physical disabilities. Trained teen volunteers are paired one-on-one with participants to play, socialize and have fun.  YC serves children throughout Northeast Ohio and has offices in Westlake and Shaker Heights.  For more information, visitwww.youthchallengesports.com, or call440-892-1001.sps

Sarah Perez-Stable is the Director of Volunteer Services.  She is responsible for the oversight and enrichment of YC’s 400+ teen volunteers as well as adult volunteers and school and community groups who assist at year-round programs.  Sarah works to recruit, train, pair, supervise, and recognize the compassionate and dedicated volunteers who serve as the heart and soul of Youth Challenge.  Along with other program staff, Sarah plans and implements YC programming and assists participants with personal needs.

Sarah is a former Youth Challenge volunteer herself, having assisted at programs while a student at Magnificat High School, and has been a member of the YC staff since the fall of 2005.  She is an ’05 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and received her B.A. in English and Anthropology.  She is a proud member of the Forum of Volunteer Administrators and serves on FVA’s Communications Committee.
